Terms & Conditions

Kinga is a mobile application developed and maintained by SoftGuard. The App is designed as a complementary tool for security operations, allowing authorized users to perform and document activities such as rounds, checkpoints, assignments, access control, field reports, communications and emergency alerts.

To use Kinga, the user must have valid credentials and be connected to an authorized organization operating a compatible SoftGuard platform.

Limitation of Liability

SoftGuard’s responsibility is limited to the development, maintenance and proper operation of the Kinga software.

SoftGuard does not operate or supervise the security services provided through the App and is not responsible for the actions, omissions, response times or decisions of security companies, employers, supervisors, operators, Cloud Partners, emergency services or any other third party using or receiving information through Kinga.

SoftGuard does not host Kinga end-customer operations or operate the servers on which those services are hosted. Hosting, server availability, infrastructure, connectivity and related services are the responsibility of the corresponding Cloud Partner or service provider.

SoftGuard is not responsible for failures or interruptions caused by internet or mobile connectivity, GPS availability, smartphones or other devices, operating systems, third-party services, hosting infrastructure or any other systems outside SoftGuard’s control.

Kinga is a support tool and does not replace official emergency services or the security procedures established by the organization responsible for the user.

Service Requirements

Kinga only works when connected to an authorized organization using a compatible SoftGuard platform.

Downloading the App alone does not activate a security, monitoring or emergency response service.

Users must receive valid access credentials and the corresponding connection information from their security company, employer, Cloud Partner or authorized service provider.

Access to Your Location

Kinga may access the device’s location when the user grants the required permissions. Depending on the features enabled and the permissions granted, location may be collected while the App is in use or running in the background.

Location is used to support features such as rounds, checkpoints, assignments, off-route activity and emergency alerts.

When an emergency alert is sent, the user’s location may be shared with the organization responsible for receiving and managing the event. SoftGuard does not receive or respond to emergency events as a security or monitoring service provider.

Device Permissions

Kinga may require access to certain device features, including location, camera, microphone, files, phone functionality and notifications. These permissions are used to provide the corresponding App features. Disabling certain permissions may prevent some functions from working properly.

App Availability and Updates

SoftGuard develops, maintains and updates Kinga. Updates may be released to improve functionality, security, performance or compatibility. Some updates may be required for continued use of the App.

Availability of the overall service also depends on systems and services outside SoftGuard’s control, including hosting infrastructure, internet connectivity, mobile networks and the organization operating the user’s Kinga service.

Changes to These Terms & Conditions

SoftGuard may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be made available through the App or an official SoftGuard channel.

Privacy Policy

Kinga is a mobile application developed and maintained by SoftGuard for use by security personnel and security organizations.

The App may process information required to provide its features, including user identification, location, rounds and checkpoints, assignments, access control activity, field reports, emergency events and multimedia content submitted by the user.

Information Collection and Use

Depending on the features enabled and permissions granted, Kinga may process information such as the user’s name, phone number, account information, device information, location, operational activity, photos, videos and audio.

This information is used to provide the functionality of the App and support the security operation managed by the organization responsible for the user.

Operational information generated through Kinga may be received, stored and managed through infrastructure operated by the corresponding Cloud Partner or service provider.

SoftGuard is the software provider and does not operate the end customer’s security or monitoring service.

Location Data

When location permission is enabled, Kinga may collect the device’s location while the App is in use or running in the background, depending on the features being used.

Location may be used for rounds, checkpoints, assignments, off-route activity and emergency alerts.

When an emergency event is generated, location information may be sent to the organization responsible for receiving and managing the event.

Security

SoftGuard applies technical and organizational measures designed to protect the Kinga software and the information processed through it.

However, SoftGuard is not responsible for the security, availability or operation of infrastructure, servers, networks or third-party systems that it does not operate.

Third-Party Services

Kinga depends on services and infrastructure that may be provided by third parties, including hosting providers, Cloud Partners, mobile networks, internet providers and device operating systems.

The availability and operation of these services are outside SoftGuard’s direct control.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

SoftGuard may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updated version will include its effective date and will be made available through the App or an official SoftGuard channel.
